Outing to Waddesdon Manor – with Christmas Lunch

Wednesday, 5 December

Waddesdon Manor, built in the style of a Loire Valley chateau for the Rothschilds in the latter part of the 19th Century, is a wonderful place to visit at any time of the year, but it becomes extra special at the Christmas season, with selected rooms open and decorated for Christmas, and light installations in the gardens and a ‘son et lumiere’ on the façade, which it should be dark enough for us to enjoy before we leave.

We will start our visit with a traditional two-course Christmas lunch in the Old Coach House at the Five Arrows Hotel, at the entrance to the estate.
