Our walks start at 10.30 a.m. usually on the first Sunday of each month, and are a leisurely three to four miles. We usually have about 15 to 20 walkers and aim to finish between 12.30 and 1.00 p.m. The cost is £2.00.
Details can be obtained from Peter Carbin on 0121 745 7543. If anyone is coming to a walk and finds they are running late, or cannot find the start, they can ring Peter on mobile number 07722 934510. This number should also be used on the morning if weather conditions are poor.

Sunday 3 December
It’s been six years since we last walked from Coughton Court, and this will be a chance to enjoy a morning walk before returning to the property where there will be a very seasonal feel with their Winter Festival.
There will be Christmas shopping in the Coach House gift shop, with the house decorated for a traditional Christmas, locally sourced Christmas lunches and homemade mince pies in the cafe, and a Christmas Market in the Stableyard.
The property may well be busy so a timed ticket will be needed to visit the house and a seat in the restaurant is not guaranteed! We have been given early access to the car park so meet as usual for a 10.30 start.
Sunday 7 January
We stay close to home for our New Year walk, with a stroll in the Shirley area. 1450 homes are planned for the green belt south of Shirley so this is an area likely to change significantly in the not too distant future.
Meet at the Miller & Carter Steakhouse, Tanworth Lane B90 4EA. Details of their menus and booking arrangements are on their website: www.millerandcarter.co.uk/restaurants/east-and-west-midlands/millerandcartersolihull.
Sunday 4 February
We return to Knowle this month for a walk in the Barston direction. Meet in front of the parish church. Parking is free at all the public car parks in the village.
Sunday 4 March
Bidford on Avon
It has been 4 years since we last walked in the Bidford on Avon area, and early spring would seem a good time to enjoy a walk along the River Avon in the Cleeve Prior direction. Take the A46 south from Alcester towards Evesham. After 3 miles go left at the first roundabout, into Bidford, then right at the mini roundabout. The car park is immediately on the left, before the traffic lights.
Sunday 8 April
Please note this walk is on the second Sunday of the month as 1st April is Easter Sunday.
On the A3400 south of Stratford and overlooking the Stour Valley, Alderminster is an attractive village with a Grade 2 listed parish church. We meet at The Bell (CV37 8NY), an old coaching inn which is owned and managed by the Alscot Estate. Take the gateway into the field at the top of the car park. Bar and restaurant menus can be seen on www.thebellald.co.uk. Please book in advance for the restaurant, which serves a full Sunday lunch.
Sunday 6 May
We meet at the Severn Trent car park (B46 2BE), on the left as you enter Shustoke from Coleshill. Our walk will take us into quiet countryside south of the village, where hopefully we shall see some bluebells.
Sunday 3 June
For our annual walk in the Cotswolds we are returning to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway at Toddington (GL54 5DT). More details will be in the May newsletter.
